Description:

Output Shaft Speed sensor circuit intermittent failure The output shaft speed sensor signal to the PCM is irregular or interrupted.

Diagnosis And Repairing P06D2

P06D2 the main thing to check is to verify the operation of the VCT solenoid. You're looking for a sticking or stuck VCt solenoid valve caused by contamination. Refer to vehicle specific repair manual to perform component tests for the VCT unit.

How to fix P06D2 code ?

• EVAP system hose leaking
• Air fuel ratio (A/F) Sensor 1 Bank 1 harness is open or shorted
• Air fuel ratio (A/F) Sensor 1 Bank 1 circuit poor electrical connection
• Camshaft advance mechanism binding (VCT unit)

Circuit High Input codes like P06D2 are mostly caused by defective alternators that develop excessive voltages, although there may be other causes as well, such as short circuits that 'leak' current into a particular system from other, unrelated systems that work on higher voltages.
